I have a few noob questions.

1) Yesterday no electricity in my area. Almost at the same time, my mobile internet change from 3G to E (is it EDGE?). My question is will power failure affect 3G mobile services?

2) If I subscribe to wireless broadband for my laptop usage, is this wireless broadband sharing the same infrastructure as mobile internet of the same provider? BTW, I use my personal hotspot of Iphone 5 mobile internet to access the internet now. Very light user.

Did anyone really use the service in twitter of TMConnects? I tweet few times and no reply. It seems TMConnects is not really orientated in helping customer but more to the 1k+ people that TMConnects follows.

Hi all..Have some serious problem here..

I've moved to a new place which dont have unifi coverage..I was asked to terminate the contract and then apply for streamyx..
Problem is I dont have complete unifi equipment to return to tm and I was told that extra penalty might apply and seems like large amount of it..
Any good advices?!

well recently i get a streamyx installed in my house due to moving over places and que-ing damm long for unifi

but On the ADSL

Down Stream 2047 kbps = 2mbps ?
but i got subscribed to 4mbps

I want to buy a unlimited quota with download speed around 1.5Mbps or above. Hopefully can get monthly fee Rm50 below. Don't want use vpn. any recommend?

i am now staying in ss2, PJ and using UNIFI 10MB, but i saw Maxis Fiber Broadband offer RM149 for 10MB. However, my main concern is the stability and is it the speed that it claimed. And somebody said it has quota limit. Is it true? hope someone can kindly advise. Thanks.

I see UniFi keep blocking sites like china websites, file downloading websites, some video websites, some politic website, some toys and games stores like play-asia.com

Anyone experienced the same thing, this had been for like 4 days now, I bypass the trouble by using VPN software.
But still I can't use my own ip address to surf the web I liked.

any user of huddle xs? can you guys transfer file through huddle xs mifi? i'm using iphone, and i transfer the file mainly through wifi -Files App(which features file transfer through internet browser).

can huddle xs do the same?

hi guys, need some help

attached is my bill i received this evening

i got my streamyx installed on 6th of may with RM110 1mbps streamyx pakage

and after a month (5th of june) really need a faster speed so upgrade to RM 160 8mbps

i think it activated 2 days after,

and today 17 of july (the bill to 4th of july) the total is RM411, the first bill was RM212.67 and second (from 6 jun to 4 july) RM198.33

but it doesn't listed how these came from

is this normal? should i pay or call?

I just had a very disappointing day today. Astro/Maxis failed to setup their IPTV in my area and will need to reschedule for 2nd installation date.

Now I don't want to mess up my mind. It seems too complicated for them to setup. Since I already installed VIP5 in my house, I got two options:
1. Upgrade to VIP20 and use conventional Astro Superpack 1 or
2. Take Astro/Maxis IPTV with 30mbps and keep the VIP5 for now.

I need real advise. Does the Astro/Maxis IPTV has significant advantage over Unifi?

Hi All,

Please if anybody has done this before. Any idea on how to scrap both the current ONU and the Dlink router and replace with a 24/48 port ONU that can do all (modem/router/DHCP)? Do you know any 24/48 port ONU that can do it?

I have read this blog stanleytiang dot blogspot dot com which shows how to convert existing huawei/zte ONU to a modem/router. But I don't want to do that. I want replace all with a single unit but it must be a 24/48 gigabit port device. Any suggestions or advice? This model SmartAX MA5620 looks capable but not sure will work with unifi.

Today I suspect somehow the streamyx exchange server is down for Johor Bahru / Johor region, my router kept saying PPP down, started from around 2:20am till 5:48am. Did anyone else suffered from this today?
