Modem router for blocking websites, such as facebook, youtube etc.

Hi.

I want to buy modem router for office that can block all unwanted websites.

Currently I'm using Billion that supplied by TM. It can block http://facebook but can access if using https://facebook.com

U mobile, Internet Share Plan

Dear All

I saw u mobile got a plan to share call time and data plan and it cost RM68 a month with 2 sim card. ( extra sim have to add RM10 )

anybody know the details of this item?

I call the services center and they give me some unknow answer.

this is my details.

i got 2 umobile prepaid and 1 tune Talk prepaid.

i want to MMP and convert to this plan is that possible ?

celcom broadband e173u, cant detect after upgraded firmware

anyone facing this problem? last week i saw someone posted at here that could update latest firmware ,mine celcom coverage was so unstable ,the signal bar was full but its on EDGE all the time,sometimes it got on high speed but not stay longer,i tried inserted the sim card in u mobile broadband and it get high speed blink.gif . So i think mayb could update the firmware and i followed the instruction, and when i updated it,firmware and dashboard all,and when i plug in its like no signal,model from e173 change to m6290... cry.gif i went to celcom branch but he plugged in his labtop n its work fine.. shakehead.gif . i told him mine cant get connect at all and he advise to closed my antivirus cz sometimes antivirus blocked the software.. problem is when i inserted u mobile's sim card into the celcom broadband it detected the u mobile and i can connect it sweat.gif ...now i already uninstall my antivirus but still the same...isit about my windows? m using window 7 but kantoi not original 1... sweat.gif

3G/4G USB Modem vs MiFi device, Which draws more power?

Just a quick question..

Which one of both device requires more power?
A USB Modem sticked to the laptop USB port... or using laptop WiFi to connect to a MiFi device

For example.. if a laptop / tablet is on battery.. which type of connection is preferred so that the laptop/tablet stays on longer?
Just the average...

Will a 4G/3G connection affect the power use?

Does Streamyx RM110 has download limit?,

Sorry, this may sound a little stupid, but does the streamyx package has any download limit?

For 4 years, I'm using this package, and recently I downloaded quite a lot of movies (approximately 13 GB in less than 1 month). I had never achieve this feat before.

Now the download speed is getting slower. Less than 5kb/s.

So yeah, that's my question.

EDIT: I'm using utorrent if that's matter.

hey, this is my first time on this section of the forum. & i cant find the simillar topic to my question. just wondering. Im using UNIFI vip10. Speeds are great for the past 2 years of usage. Buy my question is, if i was to host more than 1 user say 3-4 under one roof for a lan party, will it affect the speed? if my question related topic is on the wrong side of the forum im sorry in advance. icon_question.gif

[WTA] New condo can get unifi?, The old one without fibre can get unifi

Hey guys,

I just wondering, i bought a new condo in Sandakan, Sabah and it is a new built condo. This new built condo doesn't come with fibre cable. I want to ask, is there any possibility that there will be unifi available for my new condo? For old condo in KL, they got unifi and i think they must have been built the condo maybe around 10 years ago and how come they got unifi in the end? TM replace the cable in their condo? Or the management change the cable for the condo?

FYI, i have to pay maintenance fee for my new condo.

Hope you can enlightment me here.

hello,

This month Tm dint sent any email (bill) to my email acc and i cant get the pdf . Normally i pay at pos office . But they dint email me the bill and unifi portal dont have it too. How to get the pdf file? or print it? Thx

Hi, my old streamyx modem kinda spoiled (the oldest type ADSL only can use for 1 PC without wifi). I plan to get a new adsl modem with wifi but can i possible cap the speed for wifi? For example my main pc will be using wired connection to my wifi modem which can use 90% of the speed while i setting the remaining 10% for wifi so that who ever using the wifi wont able to interrupt with pc internet speed.

Well, in router, there is a setting named Qos, a setting that allows your gaming experience to be smooth even though there is someone that is downloading or torrenting or streaming videos, but I can't seem to get the right setting, the picture below is the setting for it, did I do anything wrong?

Home Plug vs Power strip(extension),

Recently I will move to the Unifi, but the problem is I only have 1 socket available and also my telephone port and TV are quite have a distance, so i am thinking to using home plug to solve the problem.

Here is the problem come, can my power strip/extension plug into home plug and then my home plug just plug to my only one socket as per below picture. The performance will reduce? I plan to use on the IPTV.
