Send and Receive SMSs via Internet,

I'm working at a very rural area without cellphone signals. It'll be very hectic where I can't receive text messages from banks (such as TAC from Maybank or OTP from Citibank) while I want to perform banking transactions. Any alternative for me to get an online number in order to send and receive SMSs using computer or an app on iPhone? Skype is my top option but they don't provide online number in Malaysia...
