TP-Link Modem, Help with installing the unifi stuff?

I am FED UP with the L7 router.So,I bought a TP Link router and would like to set it up for a stable connection.Long story short,I know it is different from setting up a streamyx connection.Help needed from the sifus here.
P.S:A step by step guide would be really nice.
I hate the fact that any,ANY online game I play is crap.Besides,surfing the net is an exercise in frustration.I am typing this at a mamak stall.Thanks in advance.
